The current search functionality is not user-friendly for our customers. It would be beneficial to have a dropdown menu in the search bar that allows users to select a city from all store locations. This change would make the search process more intuitive and efficient, resolving the issue of ambiguous search results.

A city dropdown isn’t something our Store Locator search supports directly, but you can make the search much more intuitive by turning on Google Autocomplete and limiting suggestions to your countries or regions.
To set it up:
In Store Locator, go to Settings → Store Search Settings.
Enable Auto-Complete Search Address (choose Full Address or Region).
Turn on Auto-Suggest Addresses by Country and select the countries you want suggestions limited to, then Save.
Note: this requires the Google Places API (and Places API (New)) enabled, and it can use multiple API calls per search, so keep an eye on usage and billing.
If you want to pre-fill a city for customers, you can also use a URL like ?locate=paris
